Here are the men and women behind DateTheRamp! We’re a bunch of crack-pots, bringing out the best in each other, to bring you the very best of service. We’re sure that an alphabetical tour of the ‘Humans of DTR’ will convince you that you’re in good, able, talented hands!
Abhilasha! Fashion Design, NIFT Bangalore
Abhilasha works as a fashion marketing/merchandising executive and a fashion blogger at DateTheRamp. Also known as DJ Lasha (though she never gets to be one at the office) she identifies as a young, independent feminist who is passionate about Fashion and Styling. You might catch her watching makeup tutorials or entertaining us with random bunny faces in the office. Oh, did I mention she owns a lovely bunny, Gullu? She’d love to support PETA wholly but sadly, can’t give up on meat 🙁
Note: Wait till she gets comfortable around you. That’s when she drops her formalities and out comes her craziness! (Along with her multiple personalities.)
Adishree! Commerce, Ravenshaw; and a passion for writing
Adishree works as a Content Writer for DateTheRamp. Weird how she graduated with a commerce degree but holds such a passion for advertising and writing! She’s found happy on Wednesdays and Fridays because that’s when they get non-vegetarian food at the office. She is a vocal feminist and has a profound love for old dogs and memes. Her Instagram is filled with crazy videos which will keep you wondering about her sanity.
Note: She believes she is the youngest among us. We believe she is the most junior. We win!
Ankit! MBA Marketing and Systems, XIMB
Ankit works for the Marketing and Business Development Department. He is a determined dreamer, a sports fanatic, and a passionate traveler. He is forever on a search for sleep and/or sanity. And when he’s not sleeping, traveling or freaking out about a match, he binge-watches Game of Thrones or House of Cards. Or he’s out booking tickets for an upcoming Sports flick!
Note: Unlike most others at our office, Ankit has no qualms about working on silently… even when nobody’s around to check on him!
Anuya! Master’s in Fashion Management, NIFT Jodhpur
Anuya works as a Merchandising Manager for DateTheRamp and is one of the people behind the amazing stuff you see in our catalog. She loves listening to Sufi music and admires only 2 of the 3 Big Khans of Bollywood – Aamir, for introducing intelligent cinema and Shah Rukh for his amazing smile. Her favorite jam’s ‘Ik Kuddi’ from Udta Punjab. Her entire life has been in the Pink City. But her fave color is blue. Go figure!
Note: She has been following her dream at NIFT ever since she made a decision to pursue her passion for fashion. So cheers to her for having found what most of us look for our whole lives!
Arushi! Master’s in Fashion Management, NIFT Kolkata
Arushi, and her dazzling smile work for Business Development at DateTheRamp. She is a great fan of Bollywood songs from the 80s and 90s and is one of the best people to hang out with. Her life revolves around good people, good food, good music and great jokes!
Note: She is a thriving example that one can survive without watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S./ Game of Thrones so you’d better put your judgemental hands deep in your pockets!
Baishali! Fashion Communication, NIFT Kolkata
Baishali holds a communication degree in communication but hates communicating. But you don’t need to be the Lion to tame it, do you? 😛 Baishali works as a Creative/ Design Executive (aka Fashion Stylist) at DTR and very fiercely so. She has an innate sense of classy style that reflects in her everyday existence. But there are times when you need to steer clear of the lioness’s path. For Baishali, it is during our photo-shoots.
Note: Life-saving pro-tip! The easiest way to calm her down might be throwing some bubble wrap right at her.
Chinmoy! MBA, IIM-Ahmedabad; Tech, BITS-Pilani; Also, CEO of Mindfire Solutions
Chinmoy is our founder and self-appointed CEO. Hailing from a technology background, he is enjoying learning the ropes of fashion. He is either in a marathon or a sprint. When in a marathon, he insists on running slow and conserving energy to win. When sprint, he insists on running fast and spending energy to win. He enjoys photography and writing and has an interest, and knowledge, about everything that happens at DateTheRamp. You will find his writing and photography throughout DateTheRamp’s social presence!
Note: He tends to surprise us with super-favorable postings! So we keep calling him Santa Claus behind his back. 😀
Debashish! BTech, SIT Bhubaneswar
Debashish works as a Full-Stack developer at DateTheRamp. He is the all-rounder of our team. A storehouse of knowledge, he will always have something to add no matter how random the topic! With Shabbir pinned to his side and Quora to his browser, he has travelled the Earth(and beyond) by books. (Even if he rarely agrees to go out in person) Known for his down-to-earth personality and a typical appearance, you can easily identify him from afar!
Note: In cricket, he always promises himself and us that he will remain patient and bat through the whole over – only to try to flat-bat the very first ball out of the building!
Himanshu! BTech MIET J&K
Himanshu works as front-end developer handling the operation side of application for DateTheRamp. He lives by the saying- ‘You Only Live Once’- and has an urge to experience everything in life. He is fascinated with cars- specifically sports-cars. (Sometimes holding a more exhaustive knowledge about them than your average google!) Behind his usual ‘poker’ face, he hides an ability to find humour in anything you say!
Note: He is always available for cricket, no matter how busy a schedule! A talented cricketer and an equally talented cook.
Ishan! BTech TU Bhopal
Ishan was entangled by Python before he got bored and went angular. He has a very organized thought process and boy, his MRs or Issue descriptions are a treat to read. He is the personified ‘Slow and steady wins the race’. So much so, that he sits through whole batches of people graduating with their food and new batches coming in, all in the course of one meal! A travel, photography and cricket aficionado- he is automatically chosen as the official photographer during trips.
Note: Sometimes he transforms into a singer, and these are times you definitely don’t want to be around him. 🙂
Komal! Fashion Design, NIFT Hyderabad
Komal works as a wardrobe stylist and designer at DateTheRamp. You will often find her with her earphones in because music makes her productive! Or maybe she just wants to cut us out 🙁 She is very curious about everything in the office. Though very serious about her work, she is frank and chilled out to work with.
Note: Her free time is usually consumed by Korean Dramas! We wouldn’t be surprised if those earphones play K-pop all day 😉
Lopa! MBA, SOA University; and a patron degree from Game of Thrones creators 😉
Lopa used to work in the HR department but her intense interest in fashion led to her becoming the Head Buyer! Her witty-self has found a place in a lot of articles on DTR’s blog. The latest book, movie, music, series, jewelry, fashion design? She’s seen it all. A hater of boring food- her bag is always filled with chips, biscuits and other interesting goodies, all the time!
Note: She will definitely judge you if you say anything against Game of Thrones.
Manavalan! Accessory Design, NIFT Chennai
Manavalan works as the Accessory Design Executive at DateTheRamp. He has always had an interest in art. As he grew up, he found joy in making greeting cards, toys, show-pieces, miniatures, wall-hangings, and jewellery. His parents’ jobs demanded a lot of travelling and in it, he found his joy for exploring new places and new food! Along with his passion for accessory design.
Note: He really cannot survive without Sambar and Rasam!
Prateek! BTech BTKIT Uttarakhand
Prateek works as a backend developer for DateTheRamp. He loves to write code both as a hobby and at work. He has been writing hobby code for over a decade and professionally for 3 years. Apart from his expertise in database and python, he also excels at table tennis! He is a keen observer and always has plenty of philosophical things to say. (Why we generally address him as ‘BABA’) He will always be the last person to come out from a pub. :3
Note: When he’s not coding on his computer, he’s decoding books!
Rahul! Fashion Technology, NIFT Hyderabad
Rahul works as a Quality Manager for DateTheRamp and is a very positive person to be around. He’s the person you look for if you have something to vent. Often seen around the stock-room (where he’d rather not be), with a measuring tape or hanging around with Manavalan. Rahul swears by a strong work ethic. Sometimes he just swears. Raised in Delhi, you see 😉
Note: Not sure about the strength of his work ethic but he never refuses a task. He’s definitely professional that way!
Rajeev! BTech IIT Dhanbad
Rajeev works as a web-cum-android developer in DatetheRamp. He is the most serious person in our team, thankfully only during work. He doubles as a bug-detective and you do not want to be in a 4-mile radius of him at the time! He becomes a ‘Pocket-Sized Bomb’ who can explode anytime. He has a rare talent. He always manages to find the corner seat in office somehow and flashes an all-knowing smile. He has all guessing why!
Note: His prowess at Mythology forces us to call him “RajPurohit”.
Rashmi! Fashion Communication, NIFT Kannur; and a penchant for classic photography
Rashmi believes that every picture has a story to tell and to capture it is where the value lies. Photography has changed her and her perception of the world, for which she is eternally grateful. Rashmi lives by the quote- ‘Learning is never-ending.’ So, even if she’s not perfect yet, she definitely dreams of achieving perfection and global presence one day. She aspires to reach a point in life where she recognizes her distinctive photography style.

Roshni! Master’s in Fashion Management, NIFT Patna
Roshni works for the Business Development Department for DateTheRamp. Like most of us employees, she prioritizes FOOD over Fashion! (Maybe we should rename this page as Foodies at DateTheRamp.) In her own words: Her hobbies constitute eating as much as her tummy allows and shopping as much as her mummy allows! xD
Note: She doubles as a Fidget Spinner Master. She can spin one on her pinky finger! While having a pizza slice. :O
Sarath! Fashion Communication, NIFT Bangalore
Sarath works as a Fashion Photographer at DateTheRamp. Breaking stereotypes, (But do they even exist now?) he wows us with his amazing culinary skills! Plus, he is the resident expert at draping sarees 😀 He is a huge fan of Dhanush so don’t be surprised if you mistake him to be the actor. He is a very honest and fun person to work with and is respectful towards people.
Note: If you hear some Shiva trance music or Malayali songs playing on repeat in the office, you know who holds the AUX cord.
Shabbir! BTech MLVT Bhilwara
Shabbir is an iOS cum front-end developer at DateTheRamp. His work speaks loudly via many of the things that you see and experience on our website but he himself speaks in such a low tone that you might need to install an amplifier to hear him properly! Perhaps his low tone comes from his choice of music- a playlist full of bed-time old melodies. If he’s not diligently working at his seat, he’s chilling at the cafeteria with Debasish and Rajeev.
Note: Sometimes he gets quite mischievous and can be seen pulling pranks on Debasish.
Shilpa! Fashion Design, NIFT Hyderabad
Shilpa works as a fashion and apparel specialist. Perceived as a generally quiet person, she’s not when you get to know her! She works in the Stock Department, taking care of the amazing collection. She is an expert at materials, garments and every possible stain cleaning method! She knows every garment of every designer by heart. Speaking of hearts, she’s been known to ask for tinder coconut when she’s thirsty.
Note: Her serious OCD about cleanliness and neatness helps explain our spic and span stock. (And stock-room!)
Sumedha! Fashion Technology, NIFT Kolkata
This is Sumedha. She belongs to our Stock Department. Probably one of the friendliest faces you’ll come across. She is a crazy Marvel fan – she can probably recite every dialogue, with punctuation. She is never too full for a good snack! Her happiest days are also her busiest – Durga Puja in Kolkata!
Note: If you find her staring into space, lost in her own world, she’s probably thinking about Robert Downey Jr.
Sumit! MS, BITS-Pilani; BTech, CEB
Sumit manages operations and logistics at DTR. He is one of the sweetest people you will ever come across. He adores driving… Even more so, when he drives to getaways with family and friends over the weekend. From a software technology background, Sumit’s desire to work in e-commerce operations got a matching opportunity in DateTheRamp!
Note: Sumit has a logical solution to any logistic problem that we face!
Vani! Master’s in Fashion Management, NIFT Delhi
Vani works for Business Development at DateTheRamp. She can easily be the hungriest person in the room, at any given time.(The fries on her T-shirt are a dead giveaway!) How full her stomach is, reflects how she sees her life to be at any moment. In these times, her deft little green fingers bring her solace. She has a cute little pug sister too!
Note: She plays mean table tennis, even if she maintains that she doesn’t!
Like I said back there, we’re a weird bunch. But we do pride ourselves on the variety of talents we bring to the table. What unites us is our passion to create unexpected experiences, helping them DateTheRamp!
