A-Z Fashion Glossary: ‘X’ stands for?

X stands for X-ray fabrics. X-ray fabrics are sheer fabrics with a translucent effect. Any garment made from see-through fabrics like lace, organza, chiffon, mesh & so on comes under X-ray fabrics. Let’s look into different types of x-ray fabrics.

X-ray fabric Organza!

Organza is a thin, plain weave, sheer fabric traditionally made from silk. These days many organzas are woven with synthetic filament fibers such as polyester or nylon. Vidhi Wadhwani has used organza for the lower torso of the garment. The fall of it is so elegant 😉 wear it while enjoying the drama of its uneven hem.

X-ray fabric Lace!

Lace is another type of X-ray fabric. Lace is a very delicate fabric that has a weblike pattern, made by machine or hand. There are different types of laces, where black dress has chemical lace by Bhaavya Bhatnagar a perfect piece for a cocktail party or dinner dare. Regional Exotica’s saree is made up of Chantilly lace, beautiful, royal & classy vibes it has.  It will look perfect for any event from engagement to wedding 😉

X-ray fabric Net!

This is one of the statement pieces of all. Wearing it will bring you to the limelight. This net jumpsuit cum dress is another example of the x-ray fabric by SOUP. For the event, you wish to show your bold side I would suggest to pick this one and make your bold statement. Pair it with black & white heels, a black & white clutch & black & white earrings. Put on light makeup and you are good to go! 😉

See you soon with the next blog. Toodles! 🙂
