Change the stereotype…this Independence Day!

INDIA – A nation of many cultures, religions and languages. A nation with approximately 1.3 billion population will witness its 71st year of Independence today. India has come a very long way, in terms of economy, technology and most importantly development of people. But the question we still ask ourselves is ‘Have we really improved ourselves?’

This question raises a lot of other very important questions along with it. ‘What about women empowerment’ being the most common and obvious one of them. Are we safe in our own state? Are we free to do what we are capable of? Are there really no boundaries and restrictions surrounding us? Do we have enough opportunities to stand out and prove ourselves? The questions go on… But do we have all the answers? Especially the ones we’re expecting!

There’s not enough time left to discuss these questions. It’s time to act. We have now reached a point where we need to evaluate ourselves, stand for ourselves and most importantly protect ourselves! And how do we make this happen? By educating our children, by training and guiding them in the right direction. Because Mahatma Gandhi very rightly said, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.

Well, speaking of ‘Change’ and ‘Liberating thoughts’, freedom is of utmost importance to a human being. Whether it’s Freedom of speech or Freedom of expression and if you combine the two – Freedom to wear anything! Because fashion and freedom absolutely go hand in hand. So this Independence Day we have prepared a list of your favorite outfits that would totally remind you of what ‘Freedom’ looks like 😉

Hey there! I run on hot chocolate shakes and binge watch my favorite T.V series like there's no tomorrow. I have a thing for nature (especially clouds). I really wish cameras could capture what eyes do.
