Some time ago I saw a picture of Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor on Twitter and one of the comments read, “They earn in millions but they dress like third-year engineering students”.
I absolutely disagree. Comfort can be claimed by everyone.
There are people in the limelight who choose to dress in tight clothes and mile-high heels every day, but we aren’t going to touch on that right now.
Today’s blog is about how Bollywood is embracing ethnic wear on a daily basis and why we’re living for it. Indian clothing has been predominantly about comfort and made for easing through everyday activities.
Of late there seems to be a surge in the use of ethnic wear among Bollywood celebs. While I do not believe in glorifying celebrities or their sartorial choices too much, one must agree that this is a very positive thing. People look up to these trendsetters and instead of having looks that are unattainable, they seem so much more relatable.
Lets take a closer look
Like it or not, a majority of the fashion trends are set by Bollywood celebrities in India. When they choose to wear simple printed kurtis like you and I with minimal makeup, things just get better. The only difference is that they get papped everywhere they go and their pictures are consumed by large masses.
