A-Z Fashion Glossary: ‘L’ stands for?

Lining, layering, leg o mutton sleeve, lace, lantern sleeve, leisurewear, leotard, luminous, lapel, loafer, lace, lettuce hem, lingerie so on… that’s all I can think of. I will make you understand what layering, leg-of-mutton sleeve, lace & leotard means. Let’s start off!

L stands for Lace!

There are many types of lace fabric. When I say lace please don’t mix it with a net. I have seen so many people who see lace fabric but call it net. Next time make sure you call it lace & not net. Lace is one of the most popular wedding gown fabric. The saree above is Chantilly lace saree this is one of my favorite sarees looks elegant yet classy and that jacket takes it to the next level. With the jacket on it looks so now! Grab it right now for any evening occasion. The next one is chemical lace and its placement gives it sensuous look a perfect beach wear tunic for the crowd who like less revealing garments. 😉

L stands for Layering!

Layering means to wear several pieces of clothing on top of one another. One can experiment the best with this fashion in cold weather. Here, I have two types of layering done with the help of a jacket. 1st look is western where a blazer is layered on shoulder & another is a fusion & new take to wear a jacket over saree… A contemporary style I would say! 😉

L stands for Leg-of-mutton sleeve!

Sleeve with full top gathered or pleated into armhole and tapered to wrist where it looks like a regular sleeve. This sleeve is perfect for triangle/pear body shape where one has a small shoulder. So ladies to enhance your shoulders this is the right pick. 🙂 pair it with black/red pumps, matte lips & smoky eyes will make you look sexy 😉

L stands for Leotard!

A leotard is a unisex skin-tight one-piece garment that covers the torso but leaves the legs exposed. … Leotards are worn by acrobats, gymnasts, dancers, figure skaters, athletes, actors, wrestlers, and circus performers both as practice garments and performance costumes. But, now everyone can wear it in there day to day life. Above are the examples where you can get an idea about how you can incorporate a leotard in your wardrobe and experiment with it. 😉

See you soon with the next blog! Toodles 🙂
