This blog will cover Ikat, iridescent, inside-out & inverted pleats. The other words which you can look for are inseam, interlining, inset pocket & interfacing. Let’s get started.
‘I’ stands for Ikat!
Ikat, is an Indonesian technique, is an age-old technique of tie-resist-dyed yarn, woven to make patterned cloth. It can be single, where only the warp yarn is dyed before weaving to make a pattern, or double where both warp and weft yarns are dyed before weaving to develop the desired pattern. In India, this technique is practiced in different states, with each state having its own unique characteristic. Ikat Fabric is made in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa & Gujarat.
‘I’ stands for Inside-out fashion!
Inside-out fashion means the side or piece of the garment which is usually inside now faces outside. As we know that bralette is worn inside but, here it is the reverse bralette over a basic tee. And another example is where Jean is worn inside out.
‘I’ stands for Inverted Box Pleats!
An inverted box pleat is a pleat formed by bringing two folded edges to a center point on the outside of the material to form a box pleat. The reverse of a box pleat is an inverted box pleat so that the fullness of the fabric is turned inward. Bhaavya Bhatnagar’s off shoulder dress has inverted box pleat at empire line(I hope you remember what an empire line is) 😉 pair it with a jacket over shoulders, studs, gumboots & look fabulous. Pallavi Mohan’s dress has an inverted box pleat at the center of the waistline, to turn on the sporty vibes style it by wearing sneakers, a sling bag & wristwatch.
‘I’ stands for Iridescent!
Iridescent is having a shift of changes in color or an interplay of rainbow-like colors, as when seen from different angles. It can be seen in different forms like sequins, stones, fabric, paper sheets, vinyl & sometimes even in water. Make a fabulous statement with this magnificent Chandelier earring. Team it up with this stunning gown and pumps. Complete the look with a golden bracelet. Another hot pink gown is mock of iridescent but no one can tell it until they look closer. This stunning gown will look great when paired with pearls top & a great clutch you can have a look here…
